Fall All Your Knees...Christ is Born

M e r r y C h r i s t m a s !

On Christmas Eve we attended North Star Church's service. Normally the kids are in their childcare rooms, but they were in with us for the service. I can't even describe how awesome it was to worship with our children in our arms. Amazing! Then we headed to a living nativity at another local church. There was a baby yak (yes, a BABY YAK--a permanent fixture in every nativity set) that rammed Aila and knocked her onto the ground. Not surprisingly, it didn't bother Aila too much. Then we went and had dinner at Scott & Angie Furr's home. Tim Villegas and kids were there too while Briahnna had to work. It was a really nice evening! The kids had a blast as always, too. Here they are chowing on Briahnna's "made with love" cookies:

Here we are--our 9th Christmas together!

THEN CAME CHRISTMAS...
Poor Aila was still out like a light when Trevor was ready to go open presents...

It was an early morning, for sure!

My husband. This is a really remarkable man right here. :)

Rather than reading from Luke 2, we read the story of Christ's birth from a book so it would mean more to the kids.

We sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus and the kids blew out the candle (too early, I should mention--I had to relight a few times) :)

We went outside for some fresh air, even though the weather wasn't great...

Soaked up our time together as a family...

The kids played with Jack (or he played with Aila's jammies)

Trevor played with his toys until he was completely worn out...

...but at some point he got his second wind.

We read the Christmas story (again),

More family time...

Trevor and I visited Grandmother for a bit...

Bath time, jammies, songs, prayers, and another Christmas come and gone!
