Angel with a Blue Dress On

My cousin Muffy sent some clothes for Aila that her daughter used to wear. We love us some hand-me-downs around here! Aila happened to have a headband the exact shade of one of the dresses, so we dolled her up and took some pics. :)

I'm thinking I have a nail-biter on my hands. Serves me right after it took me two decades to kick the habit myself!

Snip Snip--Aila's Haircut

And it goes on.
When I was about five, my dad tried to give me a haircut. It was supposed to be a trim, but he started off cutting at about my right shoulder, and ended up somewhere near my left ear.
Fast forward 28 years...
So I thought I would trim the back of Aila's hair to even it out with her shorter hair on the sides. It ended up a solid inch shorter than I thought it would, but she's still cute as a button. She looks older now with her new little bob. But I think it might be a good idea for me to holster my hair-cutting scissors for awhile!!! :)

Bowlin' with the Homies

Went bowling with our small group. Really love these people (most of all this super cutie across from me)!
These two babies were still "buns in the ovens" the last time we all went bowling!

Angie and Megan. Megan is busy "baking" twin baby girls--I bet the next time we all go bowling, Baby Hannah and Baby Olivia will be here!!
Caroline, Liz & Craig Kaiser
Oh, this is just not cute. Guess you gotta be able to laugh at yourself, right?
Just look at that perfect form! No wonder I bowled a 49!

Love Day

Valentine's Day started out with heart-shaped toast a heart cut-out for the egg in the middle of the bread. The juice had heart-shaped blueberry juice ice cubes.

We had heart-shaped oatmeal chocolate chip cookies after the delicious chicken and yummy sides that Justin made for our lunch.
I was so excited that Papa Johns would make your pizza into a heart for no extra charge, so that's what we had for dinner, but it pretty much looked like a circle with a small triangle out of the top.
Tasty, though! And we had lots of laughs over our heart-shaped pizza that, from the side, looked like a cheese-covered Pac-Man with a tiny mouth. :)

Snuggle bugs.

Jack loved running around outside--it was a gorgeous day.
I gave Aila a manicure...

Then we got to talk to Mimi and Papa via Skype.

Great day! Thankful for Justin, my valentine these past 9 years, and for our two little valentines. It was Valentine's Day 2005 when I found out I was going to be a mom, so it's always a special day. And grateful most of all for the Lover of our Souls...the One who shows us what love is!

Snow Business

Last week it snowed here. Really snowed!! Here were some of the first flakes falling...

...and then more and more fell...

It was so beautiful. Sparkly white snow everywhere!
Mittens. Mittens would've been a good idea.

Boston Boy wasn't fazed by the cold--look at him rock the short sleeves!

A snowball comin' at me. And my camera, for that matter. ;)
This one cracks me up--Aila crying over being hit by a giant snowball, and Trevor in the background gearing up to do it again!
